Accessibility
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Senior Year Through My Eyes is built to be a keepsake for every family, which means it has to work for every family. We design and test the app with accessibility in mind and welcome feedback when we fall short.
Our commitment
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA for the web app, and follow Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for Accessibility for the iOS app.
What we test
- Keyboard-only navigation through every form, dialog, and timeline action.
- Screen reader compatibility with VoiceOver (iOS, macOS) and NVDA (Windows).
- Form fields with programmatically associated labels.
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text and interactive controls.
- Respect for Dynamic Type and system text-size preferences.
- Tap targets sized for one-handed mobile use.
- Captioned and transcripted audio: every voice memo is transcribed and the transcript is editable.
Known limitations
Drag-to-reorder on the timeline and photo grids is currently easier with a pointer than with a screen reader. We are working on a keyboard-driven reorder alternative. If this blocks you, please contact us and we will help reorder content on your behalf.
Reporting a barrier
If you run into something you can't use, or you have a suggestion, email support@senioryearchronicle.com with the page or screen, the device and assistive technology you were using, and what you were trying to do. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
Alternative formats
If you need this page or any of your book content in a different format (large print, plain text, audio), email us and we'll send it to you at no charge.
